"CONVERSATION: ROY FOWLER AND JACK PIERSON,"

Art Resources Transfer, 504 West 22d Street, Chelsea, (212) 691-5956 (through Sunday). A laid-back, drifty little show. Mr. Pierson's main contribution is a six- hour video of the comings and goings of bathers on a Florida beach, shot somewhat shakily with a telephoto lens; the Golden Oldies soundtrack is lifted, complete with static, from a radio. Mr. Fowler's oil paintings, done in Florida, of waves and clouds, suggest watercolor washes. Their expanses of white canvas make them appear sun-dazed, but Mr. Fowler's painting hand is wide awake.
